Contact Rules

The Contact Rules window shows the list of rules used to determine when a specific Service Provider is listed as an External Contact in an event's Response Plan. Click Add Rule to open the New Rule window and populate it with rule details.

The following fields are configurable in the New Rule configuration window:

  • Event Type: select from the drop-down menu what event type will trigger this rule

  • Cause: if available, select causes in the left box and click the button to add them to the right selection box

    Checking the Any box will accept all causes in the left box, and the will move causes out of the right selection box

  • Subcause: if available, select subcauses in the left box and click the button to add them to the selection right box

    note

    Checking the Any box will accept all causes in the left box, and the will move causes out of the right selection box

  • Future: select from the drop-down menu how the rule applies to Future (or Planned) events

  • Min Severity: select from the drop-down menu the minimum level severity for an event to trigger this rule

  • In Tunnel: select from the drop-down menu how the rule applies to events in a tunnel

  • Exceeds Min Length: select from the drop-down menu how the rule applies to events exceeding the minimum length

  • Injuries: select from the drop-down how the rule applies to events with injuries

  • Fatalities: select from the drop-down how the rule applies to events with fatalities

  • HAZMAT Spill: select from the drop-down how the rule applies to events with HAZMAT spills

  • Bridge Damage: select from the drop-down how the rule applies to events with bridge damage

  • Services Required: select services from the left box and click the button to add them to the right selection box

Click the Save button to add the new rule to the Contact Rules list. In the Contact Rules window, the right two buttons of a given Contact Rule can be clicked to edit ( ) or delete ( ) the rule.

Services

The Services window shows the list of Service Names in the ATMS system. Click the Add Service button to create a new Service Name.

Type the name of the Service in the New Service window, then click Save to add it to the list of Services.

In the Services window, the right two buttons of a given Service can be clicked to edit ( ) or delete ( ) the Service name.

Service Providers

The Service Providers window shows the list of Service Providers in the ATMS system. Click the Add Provider button to create contact information for a new agency.

The New Service Provider window has two tabs: Agency and Contacts.

Agency

The following fields are configurable in the Agency tab of the New Service Provider window:

  • Name: the name of the Service Provider

  • Provided Service: select from the drop-down what service is provided

    This list is populated by the Services list

  • Coverage Area: see below screenshots for Coverage Area

If the area type is Districts, check one or more of the districts covered by the Service Provider.

If the area type is Roadways, select or add roadways segments covered by the Service Provider.

Contacts

The following fields are configurable in the Contents tab of the New Service Provider window:

  • Name: the name of the Service Provider
  • Phone Number: the contact number for the Service Provider
  • Schedule: add a shift specified by the day and time window, then select the contact to whom the shift applies

Click Save to add the new Service Provider to the list. In the Service Providers window, the right two buttons of a given Service Provider can be clicked to edit ( ) or delete ( ) the provider information.

Tasks

The Tasks window shows the list of tasks used to determine when a specific Service Provider is listed as an External Contact in an event's Response Plan. Click Add Task to open the New Task window and add Task Name.

Type the name of the Task, the click Save to add it to the Task list
