Manage a RWIS Station

The Station Properties view provides access to more detailed information about a station, and to station control features. To open the properties, view for a Station you can either:

  • Right click on the map icon of the desired station and select Properties

  • Click on the button for the desired station in the Station List

The properties view includes a fixed portion at the top that displays the station's status and last reported time stamp. It also provides options to:

  • Enable or Disable communication with the station
  • Status Poll : Poll the status of station

The rest of the properties view is divided into tabs:

  • Conditions : View current road and weather conditions at the station
  • Details : View some station configuration information and detailed error messages

View a Weather Conditions​

To view weather conditions, select Properties for the desired station. The conditions tab under statin properties, displays road and weather condition information such as Visibility (ft), Air Temperature (F) Surface Temperature (F), Wind Speed (mph) and Wind Gust (mph). If an associated camera is configured for a station RWIS COnfiguration , the View Camera option in the properties box will be enabled. Click on 'view camera' to show the latest still image from the camera feed.

View Station Details​

To view station details, select Properties for the desired station. The details tab under station properties, displays station configuration information and detailed error messages.
