Corridor banners and icons
The Dashboard view will utilize colours and icons to relay corridor status information to the operator as follows:
Normal state colour/icon : The accepted speed for all segments is equal to the configured segment maximum. No action is being requested from the operator.
Information state colour/icon : At least one segment within the corridor has an accepted speed which is below the configured segment maximum, an absolute operator speed has been accepted, or a DMS message has been accepted. No action is being requested from the operator.
Attention colour/icon : At least one segment within the corridor requires attention to address a new proposed subsystem speed, an expired operator speed, or a proposed change to a DMS.
Corridor general configuration settings
Within the dashboard, the user will be able to see an overview summary of the general settings configured for the selected corridor.
Speed smoothing
When enabled, the speed smoothing operation will utilize the segment configuration to determine if a linked segment should be increased or reduced in speed. The proposed �smoothed� speed will be compared with other enabled subsystems. Once the operation is engaged, the user will see an �S� beside the accepted speed under the corridor view.
Operator Speeds
The VSLS sign icon is updated based on the current posted speed and device status.
The operator will have the ability to set a critical speed for multiple segments within a corridor at the same time. The user, from the corridor dashboard, would select the required segments by clicking on at the upper right side of the page, then click on the multiple segments that need to be managed, and then click on
, set the speed to be applied, the expiry and whether the speed is recommended, absolute, or blank.
If the operator has entered an absolute speed, the speed will be posted to the sign immediately.
Select Remove Speed or Save Speed for the segment. Selected speed is changed.
Email Current Speeds
The operator has ability to email the current speed status for all the segments. Click on
